Privacy Policy

Temple Quest is a directory of temples in Kerala. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the mobile app and this website.
What we collect

Location
Location is requested only when it is useful — when you sort temples by distance, or open the map — and only ever while the app is in the foreground. The app does not track you in the background. Declining costs you nothing but distance figures; everything else works normally, and you can change your mind at any time in your device settings.
Camera and photos
Access is requested only at the moment you choose a profile picture. The app does not browse, scan or upload anything else from your device.
Who else sees your data
- Supabase — hosts the account database and handles sign-in.
- Google Firebase — delivers push notifications.
- Google AdMob — shows advertising in the app, and may use an advertising identifier to do so. You can reset or limit that identifier in your device settings.
- Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in that way, and then only your name, email address and profile picture.
- OpenStreetMap — supplies map tiles.
Your data is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone beyond the services above.
Keeping it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Some information is held only on your own device — saved temples, bookings and your notification inbox — and uninstalling the app removes it.
Your choices
- See or correct your details — Profile → Edit Profile.
- Delete your account — Profile → Delete account, in the app. It removes your account and the data attached to it, and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion here without the app.
- Turn off notifications or location — in your device settings, at any time.
Children
Temple Quest is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it and the app will say so.
